Bob Odenkirk plays Sheriff Ulysses, an unassuming substitute sheriff with a troubled past who is posted to the quiet, snowbound Midwestern town of Normal, Minnesota. What seems like a peaceful fresh start quickly turns deadly when he responds to a botched bank robbery — and unknowingly uncovers something far more explosive lurking beneath the town's calm surface.
As the situation escalates, a deeper conspiracy involving the Yakuza emerges, and it becomes clear that Ulysses' new colleagues severely underestimated the man now wearing the badge.
